1. Information we collect
When you book a service through iLOCL, we collect:
- Account information. Your name, email address, and phone number so a licensed technician can reach you about the job.
- Service request details. What you tell us about the problem, photos you choose to attach, and the address where the service is needed.
- Location of service. The street address you supply and, when you opt in during booking, your device’s approximate location so the nearest available technician can be matched.
- Device and app usage. Basic device type, app version, and anonymous usage events that tell us which parts of the app are working and which are not.
- Payment information. Handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We receive only a confirmation that payment cleared plus the last four digits of the card, never the full card number.
2. How we use it
We use the information above to:
- Match you with a licensed technician and dispatch the job.
- Communicate with you about the booking (ETA, status, receipt, follow up).
- Calculate and present the flat rate before the technician is dispatched.
- Process your payment and send a receipt.
- Maintain quality (rating prompts, support tickets, technician vetting).
- Meet legal obligations (tax reporting, consumer protection requests, subpoenas).
- Improve the platform (diagnose bugs, understand which service categories have the most demand).
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent your email to advertisers. We do not run behavioral ads against your booking history.
3. Who we share it with
Information is shared only with the parties who need it to complete the work you booked.
- The technician assigned to your job. An independent licensed California contractor. They see the address, the service request details, and your first name. Their rating and name are visible to you before they are dispatched.
- Payment processor. Stripe (stripe.com) handles card data. We never store full payment card numbers on our servers.
- Analytics. We use Umami for privacy friendly analytics. No third party advertising trackers. Umami does not follow you across other sites.
- Legal and compliance. We disclose information when required by a valid subpoena, court order, or applicable law, and when necessary to prevent fraud or protect safety.
4. Your California rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA gives you the following rights.iLOCL Technologies, Inc. honors each of them.
- Right to know. You can request a copy of the personal information we have collected about you, the sources it came from, and the categories of third parties we shared it with.

- Right to correct. You can ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising. If that ever changes you will see a clear opt out link in the footer.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes other than providing the service you booked.
- Right to non discrimination. We will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a lower quality experience because you exercised any of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@ilocl.com with the subject line “CCPA request.” We verify identity before acting on a request and respond within 45 days.
5. California Notice at Collection
At or before the point of collection, California law requires us to tell you:
- Categories of personal information collected. Identifiers (name, email, phone), service request details, approximate geolocation (when you opt in), commercial information (booking and payment records), internet activity (app usage), and inferences drawn from the above to match you with a technician.
- Purposes. The purposes listed in Section 2 of this policy: match, dispatch, communicate, calculate pricing, process payment, maintain quality, comply with law, improve the platform.
- Sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising.

iLOCL is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, contact support@ilocl.com and we will promptly delete it.
7. Security
We hold personal information on servers protected by industry standard controls: encryption in transit, encrypted storage of sensitive fields, access controls for the small team that operates the platform, and third party security reviews. No system is perfectly secure. If we ever discover a breach that affects you, we will notify you as required by law.
8. Data retention
Account and booking records are kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle disputes and tax obligations. Payment records are kept for the period required by applicable tax law (typically seven years in California). Anonymous analytics events have no individually identifying fields and are retained in aggregate only.
When you delete your account, identifiable fields are removed and the remaining records are retained only where the law requires, in a form that cannot be associated back to you.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced in the app and by email before they take effect.
